I'm not quite sure why such harsh reviews. I came here to grab something to eat while waiting for my flight. Staff were friendly and helpful. The shop is cute, setup like a back alley Chinese dumpling shop. The food was really good - I had the salad and the veggie dumplings. They were delicious and a great option to the greasy burgers I saw at all the other places. My only complaint - it's rather pricey considering you do your own ordering and the staff just carries your food in plastic bowls to the table. It cost me $32 for salad and dumplings - no meat, just veggies. I know things are pricey at airports but this seemed excessive.

Looking for a vegan option in EWR can be challenging as there are only a few to choose from. Enter LPD with a vegan ramen! The reviews looked a bit rough but when I walked up I was greeted by a manager who was running food and brought me a glass of water quickly. Sitting at the bar I could watch the staff preparing the food and Mateen (I think his jacket said) had the kitchen humming. He was training folks, looking over each order before it was brought out, making adjustments where needed. Calm, polite and helpful, keeping the dishes moving out to the tables in quick succession. How was it? Absolutely delicious! Hearty noodles, great mushrooms, carrots, edamame and bean shoots. The broth was flavored well, not overly salty and had the perfect lime tang. I would definitely get this dish again if I found myself hungry in EWR Terminal C!

At Newark Airport, I frequently dine at Little Purse Dumpling because the food is consistently good, the atmosphere is nice with good music, and it is rarely crowded. Since it was brunch hour, I tried the vegetable and chicken dumplings. Both orders arrived hot and crisp from the fryer! The vegetable dumplings had a tasty blend of kale, corn, and tofu, not your typical fillings. The portion sizes were good for the price, especially since airport food prices are inflated. I am happy that this option is available because it has different offerings than other restaurants in Terminal C.
